HIV / AIDS Support Group

What is the HIV / AIDS Support Group?

This is a ministry that we run on our base for those of our community that are affected by HIV/AIDS. Because of this disease, most of the time they are rejected from their families and have no work anymore. Seeing the need, we want to extend the love of God and try to make them feel accepted. Every Thursday we meet with them and offer them soup and bread, encouraging them that Christ is the only one who can ease the pain that they are in. On every second Thursday we give them each a R20 voucher for Checkers groceries to take home. Our goal is to try to equip them with skills to develop themselves so that they are not as dependent on others. So far God has been so faithful and we have seen many lives transformed and the kingdom of God being advanced!

What is our Vision?

Better quality provision - To provide each person with a better meal, occasional food and grocery hampers, Woolworths donation, and a larger checkers voucher.

To have less of a routine and set programme and more flexibility and  enjoyment for those that come to the group.

To have visiting speakers and talks about issues directly relating to their lives – hygiene and health advise, life issues addressed etc.

To give entrepreneurial support and guidance to help them make money, find a skill, and make the most of their lives.
